ABOUT ME

I live in Morocco, and I am surveying the sustainability of anti-erosion structures implemented in northern Moroccan olive orchards. I am a big fan of botanical gardens, and visit at least one every time I travel. Lately I have taken up the project of marinating meats to make my cooking adventures more exciting. I enjoy hosting people, and especially like learning about their travelling and professional experiences. However, I am neither spiritual nor deep, and may lose interest if conversations get too heady.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host and I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had a number of experiences hosting and travelling, but that was years ago. I went on couchsurfing hiatus for 3 years because I was either back in university, or spending summers surfing on my parents' couches. I now have a home and opportunities to host and travel.

兴趣

I want to own a greenhouse, with a selection of plants grown from different climates. I will start with a few baobabs and passionfruit vines.

I enjoy cooking. I am currently focusing on Korean and Chinese style food, but I dabble in and out of other genres too quickly to fully master any one of them.

I like walking. I imagine myself one day walking across the Low Countries like Patrick Leigh Fermer in "A Time of Gifts" but perhaps the magic is now gone in the era of the highway.

I also imagine myself biking across europe on one of those bike trails, but I would have to get in shape and quit smoking first.

Ultimately, like many people, I enjoy dabbling in things without putting the time and effort to fully realize any of those dreams.

But I am damn good at whistling with acorns.

And I read books, especially travelogues and modern history and politics.
