About Me

** currently hosting till May 4, may open to guests again after that!

I've studied abroad in Scotland and WWOOFed in Costa Rica, and am always looking to experience new places and people. I'm pretty adaptable to just about any kind of living situation, from a sleeping bag on the ground to a swanky hotel (although I feel more comfortable with the former than the latter!). I'm vegan, feminist, and pretty open-minded.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started on here because my partner and I were traveling up to the Bay Area for Memorial Day weekend and wanted to meet and stay with awesome people! In general, to connect with conscious, interesting humans and explore a more DIY alternative to the whole hotel thing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Almost anything Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams or Neil Gaiman ever wrote. The Name of the Wind by Rothfuss. Lord of the Rings. The Great Gatsby (this is like everyone’s favorite, I know). Brave New World. Siddharta by Herman Hesse.
Music: lately, Kendrick Lamar
Movies: what is a movie?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I feel like the standards for "amazing" on here are pretty high. I jumped very naked off a very tall thing into a very cold river once.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk about computer stuff and cook vegan food. I'm super interested in learning about stuff like urban design and local politics and community-based solutions to social/environmental/resource issues. in my dreams I want to build a village.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook vegan food, generally be pretty helpful around the house, and share stories of co-operative living! I'm weird and actually enjoy doing dishes -- there's something satisfying about it. Also, maybe if you're having computer problems I can help you with that, but no guarantees. You can spend four years studying the damn things and still not understand them fully.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, Croatia, England, Germany, Netherlands, Scotland, Senegal, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Scotland
