I'm originally from the Midwest and have lived in San Diego for 11 years. I served in the US Navy doing special operations for 6 years and decided to stick around when I got out of the military in 2011. I'm currently a full-time graduate student at the University of San Diego pursuing my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in New Venture Management, i.e. startups. I have a 3-year-old female dog named Scout that is more popular - and cuter - than I am. Props if you know the origin of her name. I'm fairly cultured, accepting of others, and I enjoy making new friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I figure it's a good opportunity to meet new people and occasionally play tour guide in a city that I love. Plus, it's important to me that unconventional travelers have the opportunity to experience the best of whatever destination they're visiting, while feeling comfortable and safe. I'm just doing my part with the hope that karma will smile on me in all of my adventures.
