ABOUT ME

I'm a 27-year-old American travel addict that just finished living abroad for the last 4 years and now I'm back in the US! I love to write and blog, and I have a travel obsession bordering on wanderlust. I'm really happy to be home these days, and I can't wait to see how what Raleigh has to offer.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that no one is more responsible for your own happiness than you are.

I try to structure my life around my passions, and my principal passion is travel and experiencing new things. I am at my best when uncertainty and dynamic situations arise. I tend to get antsy when I stay in one place for too long. My restless mind and wanderlust make me move around a lot.

Money is important to me, but as a means to an end, not an end in itself. I practice polarized purchasing and frugal living, meaning I will spend next to nothing on something I'm not passionate about, but I have no problem dropping cash on unique travel experiences.

I'm very introspective by nature, and view life through the prism of extreme logic. Sometimes I can come across as a bit of a robot because of how mellow and un-emotional I am. I promise I care, I just don't outwardly express it like a lot of people do.

I guess that's me in a (very small) nutshell? I love my life, and I think I've been incredibly fortunate. I like to work hard and play hard, and I'm looking forward to what the future holds.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Took a 2 month bike trip around Europe.
-Took a cross-country road trip through all the major US national parks.
-Biked the 'Calle de la Muerte' in Bolivia.
-Hiked the Inca Trail.
-Acted out my Robinson Crusoe fantasies on my own island in the Philippines.
-Hiked the Annapurna Circuit.
