Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet great people and help me afford to travel, and help others afford to travel. Travel shouldn’t only be available for the ultra-wealthy!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve been incredibly lucky with how things have unfolded with my life so far. So grateful for the memories and experiences. When I look back it sparks hope for the future. Let’s make some memories!

exploring cambodia alone

making love under the aurora borealis in an igloo with a glass ceiling

getting a free education in Norway

winning a few photography contests and having my photography published

solo cross country road trip across USA for 3 and a half months visiting all my favorite national parks

night hiking the Kalalau trail in Hawaii in less than 24 hrs for my bday

studying in Svalbard, the most northern inhabited establishment in the world

midnight canoeing through still glass waters reflecting the aurora borealis around us

lived on a sailboat for 3 years

night hiking the enchantment lakes trail in less than 24 hours

raised over $35,000 for an environmental non profit organization

played music in a reggae band on the main stage at a music festival in Sweden

made friends with mountain goats, jack rabbit, deer, bees, butterflies, banana slugs, eider duck, etc

lived in a house on the beach for free

had dreadlocks for 13 years

dj’ed a rooftop ecstatic dance party

spent months doing scientific research in the arctic on climate change

fell in love with some of the most amazing and beautiful humans in the entire world

I’ve known some pretty great dogs

night hiking under the midnight sun to the top of a purple volcano in Iceland
