I grew up in Washington, DC; though, since attending college in Ohio, I have lived in many different places in the US and been fortunate to have had many travel and volunteer experiences outside the US, as well. I am a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and have training as a Direct Entry Midwife and as a Doula. Most of my employment experiences since early 2000 have related to health care and health education; but, I'm looking to make a career change, because I am uncomfortable with much about the current psychiatry/pharmacy industry.

I'm an avid film buff, and I enjoy card games and boardgames of all types--especially Scrabble and Euchre. I also love bowling, and pretty much any activity involving or near water. I am awesome at most crafty/arty things.
