About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Playing with the idea of couchsurfing my way around the world while I can still carry a backpack.

ABOUT ME

I am a child of the ocean, woman of the mountains, and a soul seeking out possiblities for promoting good vibes and positive change in this world.
An old Hippie with no apologies, I find my church in all the wild natural places.
I come across kind of quiet and reserved, but I love good conversation and laughter.
I work with a non-profit group called the Haute Trash Artist's Collaborative. We create haute couture runway fashion from society's trash and recycled post consumer materials. Our object is to educate and encourage people to recycle, and rethink their choices, through humor and social satire. I have a lot of fun with these folks, while trying to do a little good in this world.

PHILOSOPHY

Love wins!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking for interesting places to explore and people to meet. I try to be self-sufficient (meaning I don't expect you to entertain me), and very neat (Virgo, ha, ha). I'm a good houseguest and handy in the kitchen or garden.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first couchsurfing experience this winter in Costa Rica. I met so many interesting people and made so many great connections, that it awakened in me a long forgotten dream of traveling around the world.

Interests

I enjoy swimming, kayaking, gardening, animals, exploring, spinning, weaving, making and flying kites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are many! But here's a favorite,
I was kayaking in Capitola, CA. and was surrounded by whales. They came right up to me and looked at me, spraying me with their breath. Once I got past my fear, I paddled all the way to the lighthouse with my new friends swimming on all sides of me. A most beautiful experience, beyond words really.
