About Me
- I'm not able to host from the 4th of August till the 27th! -
I am a 23 years old Dutchie and I am a just graduated music therapist. It already says I like to play music (piano, guitar, singing, all kinds of instruments) and to listen to music. Besides that I like to do many things and explore new things, so I work at a theatre, I worked at a pancake restaurant, but I also like to give piano lessons and to volunteer at an asylum centre. I am enthusiastic, can speak really fast, like to sport, like to cook and to have food and drinks with friends. Last year I have stayed in Nepal for four months, where I had the time of my live. I love to travel, it makes me to explore things, but also to explore myself and my own strength and possibilities.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think couch surfing is a great possibility to meet new people and to do something new. I have never done it before, but I am curious how it works and I believe people are very hospitable and welcoming. So I think it is a little goodness in the world. A friend of mine, who's an experienced couch surfer, said she really likes it and that you can make new friends. She also told me it is a great opportunity to explore cities by a local and I think you can get more out of that then when you are exploring a city by yourself.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like all kinds of music, except hardcore, hardstyle and techno. I like to listen and to play golden oldies, but I also like to listen to the radio and it's pop music. I know many Dutch nursery and elderly songs. Besides that I like to go out sometimes and dance at R&B classics and 'shake your ass' music.
The movies I like do have a happy end and I do not like thrillers. I like to watch a TV-serie like Once Upon A Time, Suits and Orange Is The New Black.
The books I like are also having a happy ending, but I really really much like te books of Yo Nesbo, a Norwegian writer. Books like Shopaholic I also like and detective-books. I am not very into poetry, but I am open for new experiences.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living in Nepal, for sure.
I was there to give music therapy at a school for disabled children and it was the best time of my life. I stayed at a Nepali host family at Kathmandu and during the weekends I went to my Dutch friend. I say very much of this beautiful country and I am really in love with Nepal. And during this time I have done many amazing things as paragliding, climbing the Mount Everest (no, joking, only did a 4 days hike) and ride on a scooter during the crazy traffic.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn many new things and I have plenty of energy to do that. My goals at the moment are to learn to speak Spanish, to play the saxophone and to be good at taking pictures. But I also like to teach others what I know and what I can. I became a therapist to "help" people, so maybe that's why I like to teach others things, but mostly I like to do things together and to figure out things together. This is what I am looking for with couch surfing. It is too bad that my place is not suitable to become a host, but I really want to become one later.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Well, I like to accompany others. I can cook, I can play music and I am easygoing. I am interested in exploring new things, people, stories, countries and cultures. It is also a new adventure for myself.
