About Me
Hi I’m Eveline 🙋♀️
a vegetarian foodlover, traveler, animal lover, and photography enthusiast from Austria 🇦🇹 - no, there are no Kangurus in Austria 😜
I love traveling not just to see new places, but to truly connect with locals and their way of life. I want to soak up as many positive and unique experiences as possible around the world. I’m all about good vibes, laughing, and enjoying the small things – like a great cup of coffee or a beautiful sunset. As much as I enjoy meeting new people, I’m introverted by nature and don’t mind spending time on my own. So if you’re busy, no worries – I know how to keep myself entertained!
I’m clean, organized, and always treat the spaces I stay in with care and respect. My goal is to leave every place as nice (or nicer) than I found it.
I‘m obsessed with sunsets 🌅 so don’t get me wrong if I seem to be stressed around sunset time, because all I want to do around this time is to catch the nice golden light and take some photos….
I also love food – whether it’s finding a hidden gem restaurant or trying to recreate something I’ve tasted during my travels. Sharing meals is one of my favorite ways to connect with others. And hey, if you’re into photography, I’d love to exchange some tips or go explore with our cameras :)
You can find me on instagram and telegram with the same nickname

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet great people and explore places through the eyes of locals. For me, it’s all about new experiences, not just the destination.
Honestly, I started Couchsurfing because I was nervous about driving my car in Naples 🙈. So, I found a host a bit outside the city center with a parking space. It turned into an amazing experience where I got to spend time with not only my host but also other Couchsurfers staying at the same place.
Interests
Good vibes, food, adventures, and exploring hidden gems wherever I go
• Food: I love discovering new flavors and learning about different cuisines.
• Sunsets: I‘m just obsessed with the light of sunsets and sunrises
• Travel: Exploring off-the-beaten-path spots and hidden gems.
• Photography: Capturing moments that tell a story.
• Animals: I adore all kinds of animals – (insects totally excluded 😅) and I love cats
• Nature: Big cities are great, but nothing beats some time outdoors.
• Water: I love swimming and snorkeling in the sea, and I enjoy being on the water – whether it’s a sailing boat, motorboat, or even a SUP. I’m happy anywhere on or in the water, and that includes lakes, Rivers and Waterfalls too!

Music, Movies, and Books
I prefer electronic music, especially house and techno, when it comes to going out and dancing.
I don’t watch TV anymore; occasionally, I’ll watch a movie with friends on Netflix or Prime. These days, I enjoy watching content on Gaia or YouTube instead.
When I do watch a series, I binge-watch it in one go – like the time I watched all of Game of Thrones in just one week! 😁
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It’s hard to pick just one, so here are a few moments that shaped my travels:
• Climbed volcanoes and made friends with snakes and giant jellyfish
• Swam in the Grotta Azzurra, even though it’s not allowed
• Explored almost all of Sicily while escaping Austrian pandemic restrictions
• Missed my friends for skiing because of a broken phone but ended up paragliding off the snowy mountain instead
• Explored for 4 month Venice and its islands even visited the ghost island
• A Yacht trip from Palermo to Capri, Naples, and nearby islands
• Snorkeled in the caves of Cala Luna on a sailing trip around Sardegna
• Accidentally found the best pizza of my life in a tiny hilltop town in Italy
• Felt my first earthquake in Naples
• Booked a one-way ticket to Barcelona just some hours before to meet a Mexican girl I met in Cuba – ended up staying 12 days without ever sleeping at night
Teach, Learn, Share
Experiences, stories, and perspectives – I love exchanging ideas and learning from others.
I can teach you some German or share the things I’ve learned along the way. Even though I still feel like I’m 28, my age has brought me a bit of experience that I’m happy to share!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Positive energy, good conversations, and a genuine curiosity about their city and culture. I can also cook a nice vegetarian meal or just share some laughs.
