CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME
I study religion, politics, and imagination, and teach and make podcasts as well.
PHILOSOPHY
Hah, I hope my life will be a constant exploration. I'm searching for something real and true in this world and like everyone I'm looking for purpose, but I'm not really expecting to find answers. I think I just really want to always be trying to find answers and along the way, hopefully connect to something greater than myself. And I'd like to laugh a lot.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love surfing and hosting. Hoping to do more hosting when I get my own place!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was a bit wary of the whole couch surfing idea for a while, but then some friends and I went to Oslo. We stayed at a budget hostel the first night but it was so awful and expensive that we decided not to stay the second night and gave couch surfing a try. It was such a good experience. We stayed with a guy from Brazil who was also hosting a girl from Germany, and a guy from Amsterdam. We all pitched in and the German girl made us this fabulous vegetarian meal. Our host showed us around the city and made the whole experience much richer and memorable.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once saw this play at Lincoln Center by British theater company Complicite called The Elephant Vanishes. It was based on a few short stories by Haruki Murakami and produced in japanese with english subtitles. For reasons I may not completely be able to explain, the experience had a really defining effect on me. I think it produced this feeling of pure awe and discovery in me that I consider very precious and I continue to search for in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I play the trombone, if anyone wants to learn that. I love talking about theatre or really any art. I'd like to learn how to juggle.
