Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was referred to Couchsurfing by the Netflix travelogue-style documentary, "The Kindness Diaries", in which Leon Logothetis travels across the globe, relying only on the kindness of strangers for a bite to eat and a place to sleep each night. It is profound, heart warming, and compelling to see that there are still kind and loving people in the world. It is also touching to see that those who have the least often give of what little they have- the most. It is difficult to put into words the hope and joy of what it's like to see human beings connect on a deep level, despite language and cultural differences, and to see one another hearts being touched, of love and kindness being spread. I want to be a part of this resilient spirit of kindness and love.

I'm here on Couchsurfing to get to know travelers, local hosts in Silver City, and the art of traveling. I have yet to travel across the world in my adulthood and I look forward to visiting places such as South Korea (my culture), Japan, China, Argentina, India, Italy, and more. Here in my home town, I seek to meet with Couchsurfing hosts who are hosting travelers, to be of help to them... I like to clean, organize, cook, teach, and show people around. I'd love to connect with someone in my home town who has some experience with Couchsurfing to connect over our love of travel and to share kindness with people of all walks of life. I'm always a helpful guest who can't help but clean up, keep things organized, and try to contribute my part. I truly enjoy cooking for people and connecting with new friends over yummy eats or warm coffee. I'm a frugal, resourceful person who can take whatever is in your fridge and make it into something delicious. I'm someone that likes to give more than I take.
