Music, Movies, and Books

Where to start? Musically I like a bit of everything, you can find anything from punk, metal, folk, pop, soul, rap and country in my playlists somewhere. I'm always on the lookout for new tunes so feel free to share recommendations. Certainly the songs I write tend to gravitate more towards folk music though.

As far as films and books are concerned, I love LGBTQ+ stories told by LGBTQ+ people, as well as (and hopefully this doesn't sound too pretentious!) any stories that showcase people, in their complex messy lives and in all their imperfect humanity. Also I have a real soft spot for musicals of any kind, my favourite at the moment is In the Heights! If I had to pick a favourite movie it would have to be Pride, it's a wonderful tale about solidarity and standing up for each other.

I can teach a wee bit of Gaelic if folk would like, and I’m always willing to educate people on any and all things LGBTQ+.
