ABOUT ME
My friends describe me as a repressed 1950s housewife which I put down to my liking for gin, baking, red lipstick and good crockery. Not sure how to feel about this description but I'll take it.
I'm a student with a year left of a French and International Relations degree trying to figure out what on earth to do with my life post university having just finished an excellent year spent studying in Montreal. For now I'm happy backpacking around and volunteering at film festivals.

How strange it is to be anything at all.

Music, Movies, and Books
My geeky side is evident in my addiction to superhero films and fantasy / sci-fi. Otherwise I can be found watching weird B movies (Cannibal Girls is a classic), The Royal Tenenbaums, Tokyo Story, Some Like it Hot, Heathers, Double Indemnity, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Big Lebowski, Kes, and (I'm convinced it's one of the classics of our age) Step Up 2: The Streets.
Music: The National, Neutral Milk Hotel, Fugazi, Kathleen Hanna, Radiohead, The Band, Ella Fitzgerald, Dusty Springfield, Allo Darlin, Elliot Smith, Galaxie 500, Billy Bragg, Beck, Air and all things Elvis.
Books: Slaughterhouse 5, The Photographer, anything by Adrian Tomine, kids books by Anthony Browne
Teach, Learn, Share
I play saxophone and guitar so if you're interested in learning either of those or picking up some general music skills (e.g reading music) I can definitely help you out! I also know a surprising amount about birds of prey of you're into that.
