About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

After taking a gap year for traveling around in order to decide what to do with my life, I decided that there's no way I'll ever find it out , but travelling makes fun anyway.

I'm doing a Ph.D. in Napoli right now, which means that I finally get paid to read books.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed a lot in the past years and I've lived the best experiences when I've forgot that I was surfing a couch, and I've started thinking that I was spending time with friends (well, pretty crazy friends, most of the time).
Basically, this project has completely changed my idea of traveling.

I often read in profiles things like "Couchsurfing has nothing to do with traveling in a cheap way". Although that's certainly not the main point, we should remember that travelling is expensive and not everyone can afford it.
CS allows people to travel in a cheap way and that's amazing, it liberates travelling from the economic sphere.

Interests

Literature, travelling, languages, politics.
In the last years I've shifted from a radical "I don't care about what I eat at all, as long as I eat" to an increasingly growing interest about food (especially meat) production and food awareness in general.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, once I jumped out of a moving train simply because it wasn't the right one and I didn't want to go in Switzerland when I had to reach Milan soon to take another train. I just hadn't time to follow the burocracy. The police wasn't very happy with this explanation! But normally I try not to risk my life too often.
