ABOUT ME

Taiwanese girl majoring in philosophy, especially Phenomenology. I was not a philosophy majored college student, but it's good to enter this field. Besides philosophy, I'm very interested in Buddhism but not a vegetarian myself (yet). I'm not quite a people person. I often think much and talk little. But I'm a good listener if you need.

I'm studying "Being and Nothingness" of Sartre. I hope I can finish reading the main work of Sartre, Arendt, Heidegger, Merleau-Ponty, Nietzche...and several others in 12 years.

PHILOSOPHY

Now, knowledge is a way to be (temporarily) free from the anxiety of ignorance. But isn't it just the desire to know which makes us anxious? Sometimes we just have to act, or let it go, even if we don't know it completely yet. That's also a kind of courage.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've heard about CS long before I actually sign in. I consider it as a great organization to connect people around the world. It provides us a space where we can communicate each other on the foundation of kindness and generosity.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although I don't have any formal experience of couching or surfing, I did travel in a similar way a couple years ago. It felt so free that I've always treasured the feeling of freedom after that experience. It reminds me the importance of an open mind.
