ABOUT ME

I am a 27 year old freelance photographer that is truly passionate about both photography and travel. Specializing in adventure/travel photography, I have been fortunate enough to have explored large parts of this planet. I love experiencing the contrasting ways of life that you only truly get when you immerse yourself in a foreign culture. I currently live in Denver, CO with my girlfriend and best friend and couldn't be happier. I love the Rockies. I am an avid mountaineer, rock climber and scuba diver. I have a huge project coming up next year where I am shooting an adventure documentary that is taking me across the globe.

PHILOSOPHY

T.S. Elliot said it best with; "Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go". That pretty much sums me up. I believe that just as there are no certainties in life, there are no limitations either. I believe that all things, events and experiences are dynamic, changing every moment. I think through this randomness, we find reason and purpose, but it is up to us to do something about it. I believe that life is what you make of it and I'm just a 27 yr old guy looking to find my place. I am passionate about traveling and enjoying the chaotic harmony that makes up life. I think traveling brings about an amazing contrast to our own lives that gives us the ability to appreciate what we have or see what else the world has to offer. I love my life and look forward to where the next few years will take me.

Interests

Photography, scuba diving, rock climbing, surfing, mountain biking, most anything that gets the adrenaline going. I love life and experience contrasting points of view. Give me some live music and a local beer and I am a happy man anywhere in the world.

Music: I love having an eclectic taste in music. I enjoy everything from Dave Matthews to Jack Johnson, Creedence to The Beatles, Hotel Lights to Seabear, Ben Harper to Bob Marley.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have built schools in Coast Rica, surfed in Australia, climbed Glaciers in New Zealand, been mugged in Fiji, wrestled sharks in Hawaii, set foot on Mt. Everest, drove up the Ho Chi Menh Trail in Vietnam on a motorcycle, walked with the giant Tortoises of the Galapagos and still find myself amazed every single day.

Research...Research...Research! Do your homework before you visit a new destination. Nothing is worse than disrespecting the local customs as a "tourist" in a foreign land. Which brings me to my next point. Understand the difference between a "tourist" and a "traveler". A "Tourist" will complain when they realize that things aren't like home. A "Traveler" feels at home no matter where he goes.
