About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to enjoy the journey, Learn about who I am/want to be, and allow my passion for life to inspire others
ABOUT ME
I don't fit in a box very well (who does?), but here's something to give you an idea. I'm deliberate, optimistic, prideful, loyal, honest (sometimes to a fault), passionate, often confused, and joyful. I value quality over quantity, and sometimes I ignore consequences to live in the moment. I can be.....no, I AM very stubborn, I love to debate, I love surprises, I have been known to over analyze, I sometimes like being the center of attention, I prefer to mope alone, I LOVE making connections; between people or ideas. I often pick one thing to obsess over completely for a few days, and then pick something else for another few days, and so on and so forth (Right now I'm focusing on personal growth through traveling, later it will be cooking classes, or organizing my office or trying to potty train the cat.......well, okay, I guess I'd have to be awfully bored to try that)! I believe in the enormous power of the mind; I'm a true believer of mind over matter. I love being totally engrossed; totally inhabited by a book or a smell or a smile.
Oh yes, and I'm 26, going on 5. ;o)
Now, a little blurb about my boyfriend, Michael, since he lives here too! :) He works in personal security. He is a big fan of soccer (football), tennis, and reading. He enjoys the outdoors and has been a wilderness guide. He is new to couch surfing and is excited to start hosting.
PHILOSOPHY
Life happens while you're busy making plans......and I'm a planner! I AM a walking contradiction.
I make an effort to live passionately and appreciate every day...... or if I don't appreciate it, I at least make the effort to do a darn good job of grumbling about it. ;)
I take responsibility for the choices I make and the consequences that ensue.
I am not afraid to break away from the social norms to follow my dreams.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I LOVE Couchsurfing! It is such a wonderful way to meet really interesting and worldly people. Couch Surfing has increased my faith in the goodness of Humanity by leaps and bounds. I have stayed with countless people on my travels in New Zealand, Australia, and Europe and the people I have met are what made my trips truly special. I will DEFINITELY be hosting once I return to Minnesota!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My friend and I took a 2 week trip to the east coast of the USA. We stayed with every relative, friend, coworker, and friend of a friend that we could get a phone number for. We never would have been able to do that trip without the generosity of all of those people! They shared so much local information with us that we would have never known otherwise. We got such an intimate experience of each area we visited. I also got to know a lot of my relatives much better and it was an amazing experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled to New Zealand earlier this year and got to swim with a pod of about 100 dolphins! It was breathtaking.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love teaching. I'm young, and there's still a TON I have to learn, but I love to share what little I do know. I am learning how to knit and would love to learn more. I teach Salsa, Ballroom and Swing Dancing at beginner levels. I LOVE horses and have been riding most of my life; I really enjoy training people and animals alike. I love to cook, but that's more of a sharing experience than a teaching experience since I'm not a chef. ;) I LOVE to share what I have figured out about Communication, Interpersonal interactions, God, Relationships and lots of philosophical stuff.
