About Me

In need of an adventure!! love meeting people from all different walks of life and experiencing new cultures.. pretty laid back and outgoing in general! Living life in Cork, Ireland and filling my time with work and as much travel as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed out and met and travelled with other couchsurfers in different countries. I hosted at my flat in Edinburgh (I also met my housemateys there through CS) and I have done only a little bit of hosting at home in Ireland.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed and hosted, loved both! I am obsessed with travel and through my experiences and the experience of friends I think that couchsurfing is the best way to travel. I have had amazing experiences and meet amazing people. One of my best friends & flatmate I met through couchsurfing and I have recommended the site to many friends!

Interests

Anything creative, painting, drawing, crafts, music & film. I love flea markets, or any kind of market really and second hand shops. I enjoy cooking, I am a vegetarian so I like to find new recipes & alternatives to meat dishes. I spend a lot of my days off work hopping from cafe to cafe by day and from pub to pub by night..a favourite hobby of my friends and I. I'm pretty open minded so I like to acquire new interests too and I am always excited to learn something new!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: The Color Purple, Room, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Unbearable Lightness of Being and Norwegian Wood. Currently trying to read a few of the classics, but always open to good book suggestions.

Movies: I love all Wes Anderson films, and a lot of Tarantino films, my taste varies a lot! Boogie Nights is forever one of my favourites, also Pride and Prejudice. I love film and enjoy recommendations people give me, if I agree with their tastes or not it doesn't matter I love the discussion that comes from it!

Music: There is not one type of music that I would say is my favourite, although I pretty much all funk and soul!! I like to discover music I haven't heard before whether it is old or new! I can be pretty open-minded but I know straight when I like something and will go through different phases of favourites!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the best experiences of my life (so far) has been the Sziget music festival in Budapest, Hungary! Gorgeous weather, beautiful interesting people, amazing music, delicious food and memories I will treasure for ever!

On the night of my 21st birthday we partied and roamed Paris until we eventually ended up at the top of sacrecouer to watch the sunrise, something I will never forget!
