About Me

Citizen of the world with a slight Eastern European British accent.

Hoping to make this world a better place some day – and doing my best to bring this plan to life.

Working as a consultant for a UN agency while starting out on my own startup journey.

Used to work in sports journalism/events. Worked at Sochi 2014 Olympics, World Cup 2018, European Games 2015, Asian Games 2017, and more.

My interests include social dancing (salsa/bachata/kizomba), motorcycling, travelling (like everybody else on this platform, I guess?), specialty coffee (and I even carry around an aeropress coffee maker), writing, drawing... You name it. Basically, I can keep a conversation on pretty much most topics.

Born and raised in Japan, living in London.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm keen to meet people from different cultures, share opinions and experience. And I'm really bad at planning my trips ahead of time and picking cheap tickets. So couchsurfing is quite helpful in that aspect.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all kinds of music, but I particularly enjoy dancing music such as bachata and kizomba.

I don't watch too many movies, but I love reading printed books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Rio 2016 Olympics as a volunteer, spent almost a month there and ended up with a good job offer for Confederation Cup 2017 with the Japanese broadcaster team.

Went to Siberia - twice.

Became a sports news reporter on the Russian national sports channel at the age of 19.

Roamed around Mexico alone with a backpack for 2 weeks.

Travelled in Peru alone for 3 weeks. On week 2 I went to the Rainbow Mountain and ended up in hospital with a food infection and altitude sickness. By second night I was so bored and annoyed that I started dancing bachata with a dropper and posted it on my Instagram stories. Ask for proof.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach the basics of bachata, Russian language, comms strategy if that’s of any relevance

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook Russian food, teach you basics of bachata or help out with your pitchdeck, if you're in startups too.
