About Me

Hi! My name is Evie and I am 22 years old from England.

I finished studying Adventure Education at the University of Chichester and came out with a first in 2017. I lived in Norway as a husky sled guide for my placement year.

I am currently working for an expedition company which always puts me in the travelling mood. I am taking as many opportunities as possible to explore new areas, to gain some experience, to be absorbed in other cultures, to explore new horizons, discover a new life and to generally become a better person.

I used couchsurfing to meet up with people but haven't used it to stay. These experiences were amazing as I got a real local view of the areas I visited. I would like to be able to stay somewhere local with someone who will be able to recommend better things than me just googling what to do.

Overall, I would love to get to know a culture, a place, just explore and experience something new and I hope with the best can do and positive attitude as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking for a more authentic experience in my travels. I found meeting up with couchsurfers showed me so many places and things I would not have been able to see whilst stuck in a hotel room.

Interests

My main passions are travelling, adventures, animals, photography and blogging. I would like to describe myself as someone who is open to any experiences.

I love running, I will always take my running shoes on holiday with me because I just can't help myself!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In summer 2012 I backpacked around Africa, as part of this I helped build a school for a local tribe, this involved carrying bags of sand, making cement, communicating with the locals and understanding the basic structure of building a school from nothing!
