Hey there, it's Evie! I come from Guangdong province in China and I'm 22 years old studying in Shanghai. I can speak Mandarin, Cantonese, and English fluently. Inspired by the YouTube channel yes theory, I love traveling and I always try to connect with locals wherever I go. I love exploring hidden gems and learning about the traditions of the places I visit.

I've been solo backpacking through seven cities in Japan, and then Bali and Lombok in Indonesia. Come September this year, I'll be hitting up Madrid in Spain to start a four-month study.

In terms of work experience, I've interned at Bosch, Ferragamo, and Red(xiaohongshu). Next year, I'll be studying at ESCP in Madrid. When I'm not working or studying, I enjoy carving stamps 🎨, dancing (mostly hip-hop or jazz) 💃, listening to jazz hip-hop 🎶, meditating 🧘, watching stand-up comedy 🤣, playing video games 🎮, playing tennis 🎾, and hiking outdoors 🥾. I'm a huge fan of theater 🎭. I've seen many dance performances 💃, plays 🎭, and musicals 🎶, and I always find them to be incredibly inspiring. I worked as a staff member for three months for the theatre work "Sleep No More". It was an amazing experience and I learned so much about the behind-the-scenes work that goes into putting on a great show.

As a Couchsurfing guest, I'm a friendly and adventurous person who's always looking for new experiences and meeting new people. I'm respectful of other people's space and I always clean up after myself. I'm also happy to share my own travel stories and experiences with you.

And if you happen to be in Guangdong, my hometown, I'd love to show you around and take you to some of the best dim sum places and local hidden gems. We can even walk around in our slippers and explore the city like a local! 👣
