About Me
ABOUT ME
I am an easy-going and open-minded Canadian student who loves to travel, laugh and learn. I am studying Political Science at Carleton University, and when I am not reading for class or writing endless papers, I aim to travel at every opportunity, for what better way to learn about the politics and culture of different places than through first-hand experience? I love my family, my friends, the great Canadian outdoors, and good beer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am studying in Trento, Italy, for six months, and plan to travel around Europe as much as possible during my time here. I look forward to meeting many fellow couchsurfers along the way, and if anyone is stopping through Trento, I would be happy to meet up for a coffee!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Before creating my own profile, I had joined close friends in both their hosting and surfing experiences. Thus far, I have only had wonderful experiences and have met so many interesting, generous, and kind people.
Interests
I enjoy cooking with friends, biking, all things yellow, water polo, reading, tea at my grandmotherâs, camping, hair-braiding, canoeing, the sound of footsteps on fresh snow, cottage-ing, chocolate, skiing/snowboarding, driving along country roads, mixed tapes, hammocks, board games, and learning as many new peoplesâ stories as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Lars and the Real Girl, Fly Away Home, Love Actually, The Parent Trap
Books: Harry Potter and Bloomability from my childhood, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Glass Castle, and Stieg Larsson's Millennium Series
Music: All types and everchanging, although Bon Iver and Fleetwood Mac will forever remain constant musical comforts in my life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spontaneously deciding to go swimming in January at a deserted beach, in the freezing cold Mediterranean in Olympos, Turkey, with two of my best friends was definitely one of my best recent experiences.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach anyone ANYTHING about water polo (I've been eating, breathing, and sleeping the sport since I was eleven), although I don't know how useful that'll be. I can shed light on Canadian politics, teach you how to make hemp jewelry, how to snowboard, and how to play a plethora of boardgames. I LOVE learning to cook new dishes, and if someone could further my education in surfing or windsurfing (or both), that would be awesome! Learning firsthand about the politics of a new place is always enthralling as well.
