CURRENT MISSION
Being The Doctor without a TARDIS
ABOUT ME
I love tea, I dislike fluffy towels, I am repulsed by the smell of wet peanut butter. I have a love/hate relationship with the city of Chicago. I never know what to say about myself. I enjoy being a tourist in my own city. I try to maintain a child-like innocence. I am often mistaken for a Canadian (but not by Canadians). I make my smilies backwards. I am on the cover of a book I had almost nothing to do with. I write, I take pictures, I think, I read, I want to travel.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm happy to show people around Chicago, especially my adoptive neighborhood Hyde Park. I can show you great places to bike, interesting neighborhoods to wander around in, and I'm always up for general exploring in parts of the city I don't know as well.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None, yet! I'm a little shy, but I intend to get out there and meet people and see things.

Music, Movies, and Books
music: the mountain goats, the shins, laura veirs, the flaming lips, the new pornographers, the weakerthans, yeasayer, la strada, patrick watson
books: I was an english lit major. Does "everything" count? (Huge Shakespeare nerd. I love Douglas Adams and Neil Gaiman. I have a soft spot for mysteries, especially Sherlock Holmes. And anything that doesn't make any sense most of the time tickles me pink (for example: Infinite Jest)).
movies: I'm terrible with movies. I've pretty much only seen the standards, and even then, pretty much just the sci-fi standards.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a decent cook and, according to some people, a rather excellent baker. I'm happy to show people how to make cakes, breads, and pies (I've finally learned how to make good pie crust!), or just bake for my guests.
