Once upon a time ... I (Eva) used this profile all by myself, but now my boyfriend Robert joined. Yey! The more the merrier :)

We are about to travel around south east Asia for the next six months and are looking forward to have a lot of memorable and mind changing experiences.

Robert is 26 and I am 24 years old. We both grew up in different parts of the Austrian countryside but moved to Vienna due to our studies (molecular biology) where we met in our first semester. Right now Robert is actually trying to finish his bachelor before the plane takes off - keep your fingers crossed!

We love to go to the movies and discuss the topics afterwards.
We enjoy hanging out with friends and doing stuff together (swimming, cooking, playing games, ...). Although we are more of the calm type, occasionally we like to party too. There's nothing more exhilarating than dancing till morning to good music ;)
Robert is also into philosophy and he's a vegetarian for almost a decade now.
Due to our studies we are mostly confined indoors and therefore we embrace every time we can spend outside.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I joined CS a couple of years ago because I knew some people who were very active and I their stories amazed me. This is THE opportunity to get involved with locals with whom I otherwise wouldn't be able to interact.
I only surfed a few couches back in '09 and took a break since, but now I want to discover the world again. This time in company of Robert :)

Another important aspect of CS to me is that only through interaction/talking/etc. one can develop personally. This way the trip will stay with one forever whereas the memory of the famous sights will fade away eventually.

Music: I enjoy a broad spectrum, however, I like electropunk and similar the most. Favorite bands: Großstadtgeflüster, Placebo, Fischerspooner, Deichkind, ...

Books: I grew up with Harry Potter, my all time favorite. Looking for Alaska, Hunger Games, Die Fetten Jahre sind vorbei.

Robert:

Likes intertwined story lines in movies like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Inception, Interstellar, Memento, The Fountain, Pi, Stay, What Dreams May Come.

Books: Although he prefers textbooks to novels he likes books from Jostein Gaarder quite a lot.

Music: Yann Tiersen, Ludovico Einaudi, Philip Glass, Florence and the Machine, Lamb, Matisyahu, Macklemore
