ABOUT ME

Hi people,my name is Evelyn Echegaray, but family and close friends call me Evy. If I can say something about myself I would say I am a very outgoing person who LOVES traveling, meeting new people, tasting new food, engaging to other cultures and traditions, learning and living the moment. I consider myself to be an individual with a positive attitude, honestly...I kind of dislike people who are haters or put down other people to make themselves look superior. This is why I am open minded when it comes to accepting different cultural values and beliefs. I can be conservative and wild when appropriate....  therefore I enjoy everything from jogging to partying, reading to traveling and meeting new individuals to learning about my own Mexican American identity!!!

Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it's at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Like I said, I really enjoy traveling and therefore being involved in any kind of physical activities. I enjoy everything from having coffee, drinks, exercising, shopping (fashion), art, plays, music, movies, playing tennis, tanning, and anything that has to to with gaining any kind of knowledge.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I honestly have no experience on CouchSurfing, but my older brother and friends have said nothing but good things about this website. I can not wait to be able to experience some of these magnificent experiences myself. I hope to live, love and learn!!!

Interests

I am a kind of person who enjoys spending time with family and friends, I know how to value what is important to me. I am actually very friendly and loving, but can also be very protective of my loved ones. I am the type that does not care traveling alone because I can make myself a friend anywhere. I am easy going and very accepting of others; therefore I am open to any kind of culture, tradition, music, beliefs, values, etc.

Music: I honestly like any kind of music from hip-hop, rock, Spanish Rock, Banda, Corridos, Reggeton, romantic music, jazz, mariachi....EVERYTHING!!!Movies: All of the Twilight Series, The Note Book, Blow, La Mujer de Mi Hermano,  Sex and the City, The Hangover, The Lion King (old school), Foreign Films.... in other words, anything that has to do with romance, comedy, terror, action, etc.Books: "The Secret," "Porque los Hombre Aman a las Cabronas," "Sin Cenos No Hay Paraiso," etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I consider myself to be a family girl since I spend quality time with those who really add value to my life. Yet, I had never experience living a life of my own until I got to travel all around Europe by myself. This experience did not only broaden my horizons, but opened my eyes to the real world. Now, I am eager to meet, learn and live!!!
