About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am interested in meeting a broad range of people to learn, share and grow with. Making new friends and having new experiences is the name of the game.
ABOUT ME
My name is Evynn Tyler. I am a graduate student currently living in Reno, Nevada. When I am not reading and writing (which is fairly constant), I like to get out and party. Hiking, exercise, cooking and creating art are also things that I enjoy. I should also mention that, aside from all of that, I also front a musical project called "Franc Friday", which fuses hip-hop, electronic and chillwave genres to an interesting effect. I am always looking to learn new things, and to share in my own knowledge. Say hello!
PHILOSOPHY
I live my life with the philosophy of self-actualization in mind constantly. I feel that honesty is always the best policy, and that one must always put forth the effort to be the best person they can be.

I've couch-surfed in the United States on the west coast so far, but am hoping to expand my horizons.

Music, Movies, and Books
I mainly enjoy literature which focuses on transnational experiences. Some of my favorite authors are Yiyun Li, Michael Ondaatje, Chimamanda Adiche, Edwidge Danticat and Kate Chopin. In addition to transnational literature, I enjoy nonfiction and am always devouring reference materials to expand my knowledge about a range of disciplines.
I'm a big fan of classic movies, particularly film noir and romance.
I love music of all kinds, and even make some of my own. You can check it out at: www.soundcloud.com/francfriday
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For several years I was an editor at a medium sized publication in Reno, which culminated in my taking on the role as editor-in-chief.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a good cook, extremely fun to party with, and not bad for conversation. Also, if you're the sort of person that enjoys adventure, I'm the kind of person that will definitely make things extra fun. Besides that kind of basic stuff, I know quite a bit about web and document design, technical writing, editing, marketing and networking. If you need any career or educational assistance, I can also hook you up in that regard.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Jamaica, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago
