CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to learn Chinese (Mandarin) and travel to Asia! Since I was a kid, I have always been crazy about the Asian culture and food- I was even meant to move to China for a year, in order to teach English kids in a school in the province of Hunan, however due to unfortunate circumstances it wasn't possible.. Now, I've decided this is the time.. I am crazy when it comes to Asian (not only Chinese, although most deeply) food - trying new restaurants and dishes, which I try to create from real Asian recipes, watching movies about China, and which take place in China, and now I have finally subscribed to a class of Chinese! So this is my current mission: direction China!

ABOUT ME

I've been travelling since always! My parents travel a lot and they planted this whole idea about discovering the world in my head. When I was 18 I moved to UK to do my Bachelor, in the meantime I went for a year to France for the Erasmus exchange (staying 1 term in Aix-en-Provence in the South, and then 1 term in Paris) and for an internship in Tenerife (Canary Islands). Actually, travelling is my addiction; no matter far from home, or still in the country, I just need to move around, see new places, meet new people, experience new things, eat new dishes.
I also love the outdoor life; camping in the nature, preferalby without a tent; sleeping on the ground or in a hammock and watching the stars. I love trekking, walking, jogging (I run in few half-marathons and even one ultra-marathon), I love trying new sports; like paragliding (I've the 1st licence for paragliding), scuba-diving (I tried only twice, but I'd like to learn more), rock-climbing (although I do bouldering at least twice a week, the rock-climbing is still undiscovered land for me, as I went for a rock-climbing trip only twice by now once to Polish rocks and once to the province of Margalef in Spain)... Generally, I am very curious to do things...!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

CS in an incredible way to discover new places, meet new people, have the real experiences of given countries! Travelling according to tourist guides in rather boring (although I'm not denying they can be really helpful), but avoiding the crowds is what I prefer.. also traditional meals taste better while made by the locals, than in restaurants.. and having friends after the travels is just priceless..

Interests

My main interests, apart from travelling of course, are rock-climbing, running, foreign literature... Generally discovering the world..
