About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel the world!

ABOUT ME

I'm currently travelling Australia on a Working Holiday, and I have the travel bug! I plan to spend my second year here following the harvest trail down the West Coast, then onto other countries, other continents to travel and teach English. That's the plan anyway, but meeting new people and seeing new places means I change my plans every other week, and I intend to continue this haphazard way of travelling, so we'll see where I end up!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of the most exciting parts about travelling is the huge variety of people I get to know, hearing their stories and sharing some of mine, learning about new places and gaining inspiration to travel there. And making life long friends all over the world!

Interests

Surfing (was taught by my housemates and now I'm a little bit addicted!), philosophy, music, video games, podcasts (TCGTE, This American Life, Answer Me This, Ricky Gervais)

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC

The cliché response: a bit of everything. From Earl Sweatshirt to Modest Mouse to Boards of Canada, psychedelic, experimental, everything. And I'll always sing along to My Chemical Romance...

BOOKS

Working my way through Haruki Murakami's entire collection at the moment, otherwise it's mainly Philosophy papers.

FILMS/TV

Shit horror films.
TV I have a few favourites:
The Wire, Breaking Bad, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Peep Show, The Walking Dead, Arrested Development, to name a few.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Four months working on a cattle station in NT, Australia. Might not sound that amazing, but it was something so unlike anything I'd experienced and I really dove in at the deep end - 0 phone signal, wifi an hour a day at most and the nearest supermarket 10 hours away. For me, it was terrifying and the thing I'm most proud of diving in and doing! I won't start going into more detail because I could literally write for hours about it and it'll get boring for any reader pretty quickly!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, France, Netherlands, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
