Overview
About Me
Hi!
I'm Ewa, 20 years old, coming from Poland, having lived in there, then Scotland, then Netherlands. My current mission is to meet new people, travel, get to know interesting individuals, cultures, and places.
I'm open-minded, sociable, and approachable, sometimes inappropriately optimistic.
I have studied International Business for one year, curently started my gap year I intend to fill with travel, work, and developing my interests, before re-starting University.
What has become my passion is writing. If you are interested and have some spare time, I'm inviting you to visit http://www.ewarambles.wordpress.com/.
My usual article topics include culture, communication, travel, language and linguistics. Often, I am writing about decision-making and choices in life, as I believe you can do anything if you put all your energy and mind to it.
Life has also taught me about responsibility over your own choices. Having already lived in couple of places, having attended couple of schools and universities, I've made my decision about taking a gap year and working my way towards a secure, firm choice of deciding "what next".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE.

-international exchange; visited Stockholm in Sweden, half year later hosting in my hometown;
-couchsurfed in Dublin for couple of days (and beers).
-couchsurfed in Poland, home country!
Interests
Interest include writing mentioned earlier. I can write a short story for you. And, my blog can show you all the thoughts I love to discuss.
I also sketch, draw, and paint- I can sketch a portrait for you in under 5 minutes!
I love having a good, thought-provoking movie to watch. I love music that inspires, sightseeing city landmarks that can show you history, and talking with locals that can tell you history.
Recently, I started enjoying watching stand-up comedies: Daniel Sloss, Eddie Murphy from the 80s, Trevor Noah, as well as Russell Brand in any talk-shows, who could be classified as one of the tops in charismatic humour.
At this moment in my life I'm a very curious person, yearning for learning something new every day. A year off is a chance to me to learn a new language, fix a leak, drive a car on the left side, do a split, sing, dance, or prepare haggis, you name it- anything.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love the ones that have a story with the 'underthought', piled up with interweaving themes and threads, those that make you discover something new every next time you watch/ read/ listen to it.
best of my bests movies.
The Cloud Atlas (2012), King's Speech (2010), Kill Bill vol.1 (2003) and Kill Bill vol.2 (2004), Inglorious Basterds (2009), V for Vendetta (2005), Mr. Nobody (2009), Tangled (2010).
intending to watch.
Gravity (2013), Interstellar (2014), Paper Towns (2015), The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015).
Books.
Any well written, with an intricate use of language, one that can teach how to write better. Started "Single Man" by Christopher Isherwood, intend to read "Brave New World" by Huxley. A family member recommended me "Remains of the Day" by Kazuo Ishiguro, which is on my booklist as well, together with Nabokov, Orhan Pamuk, George Orwell, and James Joyce.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Every day.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to cook an amazing chicken with ginger, soy sauce and cheddar cheese.
If you are up for challenges, I can find us a sushi recipe and we can try to make sushi. Half-Korean friend of mine taught me how to make traditional Korean sushi.
I can teach you Polish, little Dutch, and many random phrases in various languages, including French, Estonian, or Swahili.
I can teach how to draw, sketch, and paint.
I can teach you how to clack with a chewing gum so loud that you'll have guaranteed surprised looks in the public.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my travel experiences, as well as insight into living in different countries. I can share stories with you about people, places, personalities. I can share my blog with you, where I write articles about communication, culture, language and linguistics. Lastly, I would love to share sightseeing a city together.
I will be up to try a dance lesson held in your city, visit pubs, visit museums, stroll in a park, attend a speech, comedy show, or go for an audition in a theatre as well - if you're keen on getting to do something completely new and surprising !
