À propos de moi

Hi! I'm Ewa.
I'm open-mided, spontaneous and sometimes crazy :)
I believe in dreams and that they come true if we help them a bit. I can't stay in one place for too long. I never plan my trips properly and I'm not really interested in those "must see" monuments when I'm traveling (it's ofcourse nice to see them but...) I prefer to meet people and just feel the atmosphere of the place.

As I am optimist (most of the time) and hyperactive persone (which can be either good or bad) - I was working with people from different countries, different life situations, with different health conditions. I assume that most people’s default setting is to be good, and I’m sure that all of our problems with intolerance and closed minds are caused by fears.
I’m used to hear that I’m naive and crazy-optimist, but I still believe that I can change the world. I am a feminist (=equalist), I believe in the equality of people regardless of gender, skin colour or origin. I love people and that's why I spent a half of my life doing some voluntary works and social/cultural projects. I'm still looking for new challenges and experiences :D

Since I remember I was involved in many different social and cultural projects. I started my adventure with volunteering in high school when I was working on different projects about multiculturalism, folklore and diversity among minorities living in Poland, especially Podlasie, my home region; also rediscovering traditional songs of Belarusian minority sung in an archaic singing technique called white voice.
For almost 6 years (I had a short break as I was living abroad) I am a volunteer at Mam Marzenie foundation where I am making dreams of children with life-threatening diseases come true - to make the time our "dreamers" spent in cancer ward a little more enjoyable. Children and their dreams give me the strength to live and to fight for my own dreams! :D

I was mainly working with “difficult” children and teenagers who are dealing with different problems, such as poor health conditions, intellectual disability or lower self-esteem. By all my actions I tried to show them that no matter what happened in their lives or no matter what they heard from other people they all belong to the society and have the same right as everyone else to be accepted and seen as a significant part of their communities.

I want to learn more about people, how they think, how they feel, how they live, because if I’ll understand them it will be easier to understand myself, and find my own meaning of life :)

Centres d'intérêt

I love languages, people and different types of art. I’m also interested in folklore and culture, I love white singing and I love to read about traditions from all over the world. I think that our cultural heritage should be maintained.
