About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get from point A to B cheaply and creatively and to help others do the same.

ABOUT ME

I am from Maine, went to school in Maine, took a a year out of the state to do Americorps Vista in southeastern Arizona, but yet, found my way back home. I am now living in Portland and working on my Master's of Public Health degree. I consider myself an adventurous and semi-outgoing person. I enjoy being very active and busy and love meeting new people.

PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have unfortunately been unable to host anyone due to living situations, but I have stayed with surfers all across the country on several cross country road trips and other smaller trips. I have never met a couch surfer I didn't like! Everyone I have stayed with has been welcoming and gracious. I will surely utilize this site the next time I travel.

Interests

I'm addicted to running, I love doing, learning about and teaching yoga, I'm a very active person but when I am sitting still I spend most of my free time reading.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love in the Time of Cholera is the last book I truly fell in LOVE with, Inglorious Bastards is the first movie I went to see in the theaters alone because I was so desperate to see it, and it was worth it, and the newest musical thing I have heard that I loved was The Strange Boys.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driving seven hours into Mexico to spend three days in an amazing little village that survives off of bartering and trading with a family I didn't know who spoke a language I knew little of

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to share with you some vegetarian recipes and some yoga.
