I like to meet ppl from different countries, backgrounds and learn their cultures. And couchsurfing is perfect for that, i'm basically traveling with the locals :)
I always say u don't have to do couchsurfing, but please go to the events. Meet with the locals and travelers, perhaps u'll find ur best mates there ;)
