ABOUT ME

I'm a Breton language and art teacher, the father of two daughters. I live in an old farm that's been mended, it's located in Brittany, about 7 km from the Atlantic Ocean. I like spending hours talking about music, books, movies, art, coffee and cheese. People who know me say I'm a quiet person.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to host as often as I can. I like being hosted because being with locals is the best way to really discover a city or a country.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far so good, except some creeps in California.
Had a couch surfers BBQ night in my garden (which is as big as a field in fact) in August 2011, it was a great night and I met couch surfers I didn't know yet.
Been to some meetings here in Quimper, met lots of people from different places, quite an interesting experience indeed.

Interessen

I'm interested in art, cinema, literature and music (post punk, indie, shoegaze, electronica). I like cooking too.
I like architecture, whatever the period, from gothic to modern stuff. I like "ugly" concrete buildings a lot.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Round the world trip from October 2014 to mid-April 2015 : Japan, Cambodia, Australia, New-Zealand, Argentina, Mexico, USA.
Queuing for about 5 hours in front of a museum in Berlin.
Seeing Vermeer's paintings in museums in the Netherlands was a great experience too.
The desert in Israel.
Iceland and its landscapes.
Ukraine in 2014 (worth a visit to try and understand)
A tuk-tuk ride in Cambodia with a drunk driver and living snakes next to my feet.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I can teach Breton language and French and I can show you how to cook some nice food. If I have free time I can show you the area (the seaside, old towns...).
I play the guitar, but very badly.
I have a violin, I don't play at all.
