Music, Movies, and Books
this is a lot of questions. i guess my favorite author right now is octavia e. butler. in general i like to learn about history and social movements, cauz "of all our studies, history is most qualified to reward our research." (malcolm x) ...all types of movies, i spose, if i ever make the time to watch one. music: hip hop, salsa, highlife, juju, reggae, dub, township jazz, latin jazz, dixieland jazz (nola will rise) ...all Diaspora music. merengue, soca, soukous, MPB, samba, nueva trova, son, joropo, bachata, classical, folk, some pop... i cannot dance them all, though
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
i suppose the moto trip from panamá back to the usa was pretty amazing, but the most amazing were the people we met, and what they taught us. need to write a frickin book about that (in process but stalled).
Teach, Learn, Share
cooking without oil. second language acquisition. massage. the politic of fear. the future of the internet. the future of humanity. the nature of epiphany. chameleonic practice. holding strong.
