About Me
CURRENT MISSION
live simply so that others may simply live
ABOUT ME
I'm a recent grad from the States, I lived and studied for a year in Germany, finished up my degree in Minnesota, and then came back to England for my MA. I left the US thinking I would never want to go back, but now I find myself realizing all over again how important home, family, and deep roots are when you're far away from home and experiencing the beautiful world. I want to go back in a year or two (taking my soon-to-be husband with me!) and make a difference at home now, not just run away.
I like: books, friends, music - singing, playing, listening, deep thoughts and deep conversation, mind-altering experiences, travel, sweaty smelly crowded concerts and festivals, rambling, running, skipping, hiking, climbing, absorbing nature through every pore, feeling the tangible connections that run through everything and everyone on this planet, empathy, helping each other out, growing, making mistakes, laughing, and seeing the grace of life.
PHILOSOPHY
As The Beatles so eloquently said, "all you need is love." The world would be a much better place if we all just had a little more compassion and understanding for each other.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: my favorite right now is Inception
Music: generally everything but generic rap, new country, and really heavy metal
Books: I like anything that makes me think and feel and see the world in a new light.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking alone in the Alps above Gimmelwald, Switzerland and knowing that no one in the whole world knew where I was except for the occasional passing para-glider.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm experienced in printmaking and photography (old school dark room style) and can speak German pretty fluently.
