i am a traveler, and i love to meet other people who enjoy traveling and live extraordinary lives.
i'm a passionate video blogger, and i'm a youtube partner as well. you can see my videos at www.youtube.com/expatkerri
i lived abroad in korea for 4 years, and am now living and working in toronto.
my passion is seeing new places, being on a train through new terrain and feeling extremely lucky for the opportunity to experience these kinds of moments.
my next big adventure awaits.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

when I'm not travelling, I miss it... so I get a bit of the travel fix by hanging out with people who are travelling to my city! It reminds me to keep my mindset as a traveller, even in my home city.

I am also very into sharing space and conversations, rather than paying to stay somewhere and not talking to anyone or making friends. I love to hear about people's lives, experiences, thoughts, and motivations. well, that and places are much more fun when you know where you're going and what you're seeing.

Interests

encouraging everyone I meet to travel (I call it "travel pushing"), painting, playing guitar, looking up plane tickets, baking, indoor gardening, listening to music (not limited to: bob dylan, elliot smith, regina spektor, arcade fire, beach house, tom waits, the kinks, miles davis, kurt elling...), vegan foods, indoor gardening, speaking korean: 사년 한국에 살고 한국어 말하기 야채비빔밥을 먹고 좋아요! 한잔 하자!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-A "misunderstanding" with a fully grown adult elephant who nearly ripped my ear off in thailand a few years ago left me with a scar and a good story! He literally ninja-whipped me to the ground with his trunk, and the mahoot said we had misunderstood each other!
-Being an extra in the Bollywood movie "Everybody Can Dance 2" in Mumbai was insane and amazing. We were plucked off the street in what I thought was a scam and until we actually arrived on set I was so sure we were gonna be scammed in some form, but all we did was wore jerseys of countries we aren't from and cheered in a crowd :D also they paid us 300 rupees!
