About Me

Recently moved back to North America after living in Japan, South Korea and Argentina.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted several people at my old house in Seoul and Japan, and been the grateful recipient of some hosting in Argentina and the US. I'm currently in the process of moving and cannot host anyone at the moment.

Stayed a few places in the US.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything written by Steinbeck, Camus, Vonnegut Jr., Gaiman, Hemingway, Conrad, Orwell, Palahniuk, etc.

Anything written/directed by Aranofsky, Nolan, Tarantino, Park Chan-wook, Fincher, Coen Bros., Kaufmen, etc.

Anything recorded by Nujabes, Arcade Fire, Brubeck, Outkast, Sigur Ros, Radiohead, TV on the Radio, Daft Punk, etc. but I find myself listening to more and more indie stuff as time goes by!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been incredibly lucky in the things I've had a chance to see and do. Unfortunately, I was incredibly unlucky in my inability to recall them unless something reminds me of it. So...recently, I got to go on a nice hike in the red rock mountains and a couple months ago I got a chance to see one of the so-called "New 7 Wonders of the World": Iguazu Falls on the border of Argentina and Brasil.

Teach, Learn, Share

I help maintain a list of monthly events going on in Aomori Prefecture:

If there's anything that sounds interesting while you're here, I can give you more info about it, just ask.

Also, the main page of that site has a lot of stuff written by local foreigners in the prefecture:
