Sobre Mim
CURRENT MISSION
To get out of my own head and into the heads of others (but not in a creepy bodysnatcher way!)
ABOUT ME
I can be shy at first, but once I get going I thoroughly enjoy engaging conversation with intelligent individuals. I read quite a bit, I play video games, I lose hours of my life reading about neat things on the internet. I dabble in various artistic activities, but have yet to commit to any on a regular basis. I love Disney movies and musicals and foreign films. I can cook if I have to, but I just don't. I try to eat more vegetarian for ecological reasons, but it's hard; I think meat is delicious. Eating less meat is easier than drinking less diet soda. I'm not good at finding cool new artists before they make it big and I hear them on the radio, but I love others who can and share new artists with me. I'm typically a pretty organized and pragmatic person, and I like to try do things efficiently, but sometimes I just throw that all out the window as an exercise in spontaneity.
PHILOSOPHY
A healthy mix of living in the moment while keeping an eye on the path ahead. My summer-long road-trip before college was all about getting away and seeing new places, meeting new people, and learning new things. It really made me a better person, I think.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I moved cross country on an epic summer-long journey (2010) and it was super cool to meet new people in the places I visited! I wrote a blog entry for every day that you can check out here: xtinaftw.wordpress.com
I hosted a few times at my former coop and I've now had several surfers at my studio, so I feel like my ratio of surfing to hosting is becoming more balanced.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My very first couch surfing experience was in New Orleans for Mardi Gras 2010. I went with two of my friends and we stayed with amazing hosts, got to meet a handful of other travelers that were being hosted there as well and I loved every minute of it and it really set the tone for all the super CS experiences I've had since.
Every host I've had has been a positive model for me that I can only hope to emulate when I host others.
Interesses
Oh, hmm, I think I covered a lot in the first section... I'm interested in languages and cultures, newer faster ways to tie my shoes (well, I just leave them tied), anything really.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros
I love just about every genre of everything. Except maybe horror movies. I find most of them to be terribly predictable and cheesy and unoriginal. Or if I'm being honest maybe I don't like them because they actually maybe might scare me...?
Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz
I would say that my experiences in Jordon were pretty freaking awesome. Seeing ancient ruins thousands of years older than any historical building in my own country is just plain neat. And just really getting to know the some of the locals and feeling welcome and having them share parts of their lives was really cool.
Ensine, Aprenda, Compartilhe
Arabic for sure (though it's fading due to lack of use). My German is quite rusty, but I'd love having a reason to polish it up to look smart! I can show you how to doodle on the edges of all of your papers. Or some Photoshop magic perhaps? I learned Olympic-style archery this spring if anyone wants to trade archery tips.
