ABOUT ME
Funny - that's a lot. In the end it all points to me as being someone who has to chase the dream. I was 22 when I spent two weeks in Paris and I still have to do it again! Now I'm 39.
I work construction and paint, play music, see friends in my free time. I'm planning a Paris trip at the end of May and I'm really inspired by this site and some of the profiles I saw! It's awesome to know people somewhere, anywhere, still have such passion and comraderie.
I'm planning to start in Paris in June and travel all I can as long as I can from there. Would love to meet musicians for jamming and gigging. I play a solid acoustic rhythm and can sing pretty well. Also I know many songs. I'd really like to meet lead players and percussionists since I'm all rhythm.
Cheers! Eric
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live: Respect. Be kind. Do what you can. Listen. Check things out for yourself. Share. Wonder. Do. Be. Say. Smile.
I think that it only is when people like themselves that they can find interest and appreciation in the lives of others.
I am a little embarrassed sometimes to acknowledge I am American: America does much without my consent.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
??? New here. Looking to couch surf some and see what I can do from there.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Absolutely! Have slept on many couches - just not through this site yet.
Interests
Music and the arts. Am interested in people in general and how they express themselves. Sunny days. Coffee on a porch. To play a song in the middle of tall grass or to talk over a pint. I like little things that make life grand.

Music, Movies, and Books
Blues based anything. Classic rock. Ambient and groove tones. Black Crowes, Beatles, Motown, be-bop jazz, acid jazz and maybe some of what you are listening to. Would have to hear it first.
Books: "current events," classic fiction, biographies, commentaries ala Klosterman.
Movies- heck, I'm American, what do I know about "movies?" ha! maybe I know a little. Sometimes I'm introduced to a gem.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went to a 3 great CS events this weekend in San Diego - met some great people
Teach, Learn, Share
