About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To nurture hope.

ABOUT ME

I am a professional nomad...or at least I strive to be. I have always loved traveling and making new friends ever since I was a child and the family would take road trips. Fast forward a couple decades and I now produce media and event projects for a very cool company, UnPlanned Events. The freedom I have within this occupation fits well within my lifestyle as I am expected to come up with my own projects and see them through to completion, utilizing not only my own skills, but also those of the dozens of creative minds who help make up UnPlanned Events.

Love is the driving force behind all that I do, say and create. As I see it, love is all that will ever save us, that is if you believe we need saving... Nonetheless, we need re-tuning if nothing else. I love to run and play, being outdoors makes me feel at peace. I enjoy sports, writing and listening to music, communing, experimenting and generally enjoying life. I am loyal to a fault, but that's still not really a fault. I tell the truth, even if it sucks to, because frankly, it is going to suck more later if I lie now. I encourage people's individualities, because as I see it, we are already inherently perfect, we just haven' realized that yet. With that being said, peoples' differences are not something to separate us, but rather unite us. Our true strength lies in our diversity. I love to travel, which was likely apparent but I felt compelled to write it anyway. My most skilled art form is the written word. I love to write, especially once inspired and the prose is endless. It brings me beauty from this world in which language is so often used to destroy rather than create.

Now I apologize for my aimless ramblings, I hope it gives you a rough sketch of a good person.

PHILOSOPHY

Life will move on, so your best option is to learn how to make the most of it. Discover something that you believe and have Faith in it. Find a way to produce something good with your life, it is the only way you will get anything good out of your life. Love like it is the only way to be happy, because it is.

I have learned many things in this life, some of them are true, some of them are likely not. Through it all I have learned that if you remain pure in your motives and always seek to do your absolute best you will be rewarded. Life is the same as what people tell you college is like; "you get out of it exactly what you put into it."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only utilized Couch Surfing as a surfer thus far because I have not yet found that stability in my life required to host.

I have made some great friends through Couch Surfing, both on the site and off, and hope to continue those experiences.

Recently I have begun using Couch Surfing as a way for me to save loads of money as I travel for work. I am always on the road for my projects, scouting locations, meeting with musicians, artists, and producers, and looking for my next idea, so Couch Surfing is a great way to save some money, extend my network, and have a good time all around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch surfing is an interesting concept that takes an even more interesting mind to fully enjoy. I have slept on my fair share of couches, futons, air mattresses, cots and floors to know that each one of those places was something special. Each time I laid down I was thankful for that place to sleep comfortably - most of the time - and realized that the true spirit of love lies not only in the willingness to offer your couch to someone, but also the willingness to enjoy life even when you have no couch to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything that has anything to do with Hunter S. Thompson or John Lennon, they feed the two halves of my brain. M. Scott Peck is a brilliant doctor and all of his books should be required reading, there is no way it couldn't make the world a little bit better. Paolo Coelho is one of the most spiritually in tune authors I have ever read, and it speaks in his writings. He write the most epic stories with the most simple answers. The Celestine Prophecy is a fantastic book for emerging thinkers.

Music is music as far as I see it. I have my favorites; Incubus, The Beatles, El Ten Eleven, Tool, The Low Life, The Kinks, Kings of Leon, A Perfect Circle, Chevelle, Deftones, Ozzy, CCR and any others. I simply love the vibratory world of audio.

I do not have a tv, so it is difficult to watch it, besides it really does seem to rot my brain. I haven't seen a really good movie in a while. Scott Pilgrim Versus the World is extremely entertaining and creative. The Imaginairum of Doctor Parnassus is also a very creative and intelligent move.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I, long with my beautiful girlfriend, were the manifestations of enough love to not only make a crippled man walk, but eventually save a man's life!
This story is very dear and personal, and will be openly shared upon request, but only in person. Thank you for you understanding. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very skilled at many things. Growing up I was an avid athlete, all I ever wanted to do was be a professional hockey player, and I got damn close too! Those sports have made me a courageous leader which allows me to confidently teach, and I love to do it. I've taught friends and strangers about shooting a puck, growing herbs, writing, listening to the production of music albums, cooking an enjoyable meal and remaining open to life.

I hope to learn more. I am on a never ending quest for perfection. Knowledge is one of my key components to achieving perfection, so I love to learn from knowledgeable teachers, no matter the subject.
