Overview
About Me
My storyline in a few words: Grew up in Chalkidiki, Greece, next to the sea, spent my childhood playing with the sand and my gameboy. Started traveling abroad around the age of 18. After finishing school, I joined the university and graduated from the Computer Science department the summer of 2014. During my life as a student I traveled a lot, mainly with friends, hunting for cheap destinations, participated in the Erasmus programme in Sweden, did an internship in Germany, joined the exchange-student-helping organisation (ESN) in my uni (which btw was the most incredible student year) and made a huge bunch of friends in many corners of the world. My story continues in Switzerland where I am currently located, living the life of a working person. If I had to use only a few words about me I would say friendly, easy going, overexcited from time to time, thirsty for good company, lazy ass when rainy and full of energy when sunny, with a tendency to nerdism.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One of my people introduced me on this wonderful platform while we were searching for accommodation during a trip. I sticked to it because it gave me the opportunity to meet fascinating people and saved my ass several times when looking for a couch to crush. Today, I still believe that Couchsurfing is one of the greatest ways to get to know a new place and it's people.
Interests
Yeah... That's a tough one. You know, when you finally enter the path of the working routine, you gotta find yourself some hobbies! So let's say that at the moment I am looking into that..! Generally I like melting on my bed watching movies and series, I enjoy spending time with friends playing video games, board games, hanging out, dancing, visiting nearby places whenever weather permits, photography, looking for geocaching treasures, working on DIY projects and staying fit by practising boxing.
Music, Movies, and Books
Electronic music when cleaning, deep house when working, rock-ish when excited.
Reading books is something that I recently found out that interests me haven't read many yet, only a few of Dan Brown and James Dashner.
As for movies, I should probably post a link of my letterboxd list of favourites. Namely I love mystery, science fiction, action, drama and comedies, but only with appropriate company.
One of my favourite board games is Cards agains Humanity (and of course, Crabs adjust Humidity)!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A stunning red sky during a sunset when camping next to a lake in Sweden.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teaching the worst Greek words and learning the according ones in a foreign language had always been a win-win situation when it comes to making new friends. It's just the way things work! Apart from that, I like sharing my thoughts, experiences and adventures in blogs of mine and learning about the ways of thinking of people whose culture I am not familiar with.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My hilarious humour and my warm heart..
Currently I cannot host someone, but when I finish my DIY sofa I will update my profile to accept visitors! However, I am always open for hanging around in Geneva.
