I am a fun, educated, witty old soul trapped in a progressive young man's body. I have a great sense of humor, I'll always have something funny to say about anything and everything around me. I never stop learning, no matter what it is; anything from theoretical physics to cosmetology, I'm honestly interested in everything!

I previously served in the United States Air Force, and now pursuing a career in Computer Science/Software Engineering while also working as a Certified Personal Trainer. My travels in the military introduced me to many fascinating people and cultures, and I would love to continue to have that opportunity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Getting to know the inside perspective of other countries is very important to me. Simply traveling to common tourist locations doesn't allow me the same experience and joy I receive by really getting to know the locals and learning their culture and language.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can appreciate almost any type of music. I'm a very eclectic listener. Anything from EDM to Rap, Oldies to Classical, Metal to Soul and Jazz. My favorite non-American music genres are Punjabi Bhangra and Chinese Erhu.

I love movies that envelop your mind in another world; think Shutter Island, Inception, Interstellar, Harry Potter, The Matrix, etc.

I prefer non-fiction literature. I can literally get lost on Wikipedia for days at a time. But I do have a copy of the Lord of the Rings; that's one of my favorites.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will quickly pick up any language when exposed to it, and I am very knowledgeable in the history and evolution of the English language, including others. I absolutely love discussing linguistics or any subject. Other skills I can teach you include, but not limited to, tying your shoes, how to properly pet a cat, cracking eggs with only one hand, and shooting an arrow through twelve axes so you can woo the woman of your dreams. You know, practical things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Pleasant and relaxing company. Someone to explore the area with and experience the local life. For extended stays I am willing to pay a short-term rent, or pay for food and drinks while I'm there.

I'm also a great cook, if I do say so myself and I would love to help prepare a meal or learn a new cultural dish.

Unfortunately at the current time, I only own a one bedroom condo and live with my 3 cats (totally normal, I swear); so unless you are a literal couch-surfer, I likely can't host anyone. I will soon be buying a house though, and then I will happily accommodate more cats. I mean, guests.
