ABOUT ME
My name's Ezekiel Compton, I'm a farmer/gardner/ construction worker. I help people grow their own food when I can, I grow my own when I can. I love working with my hands, and am of the firm belief that working harder rather than smarter is sometime the most time efficient way to make things happen.
I play the drums, listen to punk, metal, ska, jazz, and a leeetle indy. I study Kung Fu and tai chi.
Previously, I was a volunteer in New Orleans, coordinating a food security program, setting up CSA's in hurricane effected areas where grocery stores dont plan on returning.
I'm now living here semi permanantly, working with a deconstruction program that recycles building materials from blighted houses.
I love animals, the enviornment, alternatives to the status quo, long walks on the beach and candle lit dinners.
PHILOSOPHY
The rules that govern distant spinning bodies in the heavens, apply to the leaf falling to the ground, to the inmate, to the business exec., and to the worms in the ground. The universe is pretty big, and we're pretty small, and so are our problems, so just have fun.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am a traveler. I cross pollinate ideas. I tell goofy stories, I gesticulate wildly, and try to make people laugh.
I learn, I share, and I prepare for the day that I shall have a house, and cram as many travelers in there who will willingly fit, and then we'll all play twister or something.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have stayed with loads of amazing folks in NOLA during a difficult personal time. They were all very hospitable and comabted an onset of intense misanthropic melancholy.
A few folks housed me and my girlfriend when we moved to Ithaca, which was amazing.

I can teach you about gardening a little. I can talk about the proper counter to a hammer lock or arm bar.
