About Me

It's not easy talking about oneself...I'm an easy going guy, very open minded, willing to find knowledge by knowing other people, or just having fun ...I like to discuss politics, philosophy, history, social relations, although I'm not a specialist in any of those...but you might not notice it and end up thinking I actually know what I'm talking about :)

I tend to be quite shy at first, hence I give a first impression of being harsh, but I'm not. I generally get over it after talking for a little time. It takes some time to get to know me.

I have an endless sense of humour, be that a virtue or a defect. Opinions of those who know me vary.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host. I surf. I meet. I want more.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted many people in my home. In the beginning, just friends of a friend of a friend, then also quite a lot members of Hospitality Club (something like Couchsurfing. Have a look at my profile there.) and lately (well, say, the last... 10 years) Couchsurfing as well. I've already had over 150 guests.

I have surfed quite some couches in my travels, too. Some were good experiences, many of them excellent, most have been extraordinary. (And one not so good but I barely remember).

I used to have here a looong list of all the couchsurfers I had hosted an the couches I surfed here, but in the new profile format does look good (in the old format you could scroll over it) and really makes no sense. They are many, to sum it up.

You may still find it here:

Interests

I'm interested in traveling, reading, listening to good music, knowing interesting people and taking photos. I like trekking in the mountains or in the forests, the smell of the summer rain, wild camping, the sound of leaves under my feet in the woods, biking, hearing nice stories real or not, exotic fruits, trying new things, I'm open to new experiences. Now I'm interested in tasting new flavours, so if you are are a good cook (or not so good) I would be delighted to taste anything you prepare.

I like ice cream very much, most of all if it's from Jauja in El Bolsón (Patagonia). Any season you come, we'll share some good argentinian ice cream.

Music, Movies, and Books

A movie: Clockwork orange, by Stanley Kubrick

My favourite book quote : (it could also be under "Personal philosohy" title).

I've done a couple of things that have impressed me, but I would have a hard time trying to choose one...the trek around Ilha Grande in Brazil (one week trekking rainy tropical forests and pristine beaches) is one of my beloved memories.
More than 1500 km in a row cycling Italy is not bad either...
However, I´m sure that my most exciting experiences are yet to come! Maybe you can be a part of it...Amazing things I plan doing someday
-A trip from Ushuaia to Alaska by motorcycle. That said, I still don´t have a motorcycle, and I haven't ever had or used one. But it sounds good.
-Skydiving over El Bolsón. Now that I think of it, I can´t understand why I haven´t done it yet.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a couple of bicycles at home, one is waiting for you, my dear surfer. So I can share this secret: A bicycle is better than a car. By biking you: don't have to buy oil- you save energy resources, save money, don't pollute the city, you exercise, prevent traffic jams, get where you want faster, enjoy the ride much more and live longer. As my German friend Peter says, los argentinos deberiamos andar mas en bicicleta.

I would like to learn about music from where you come. If you wanna show me how to cook any special dish, I would be interested in learning. I would like to show you my photos, if you are interested. But I´m not sure you would learn something by looking at them. I´m also a lawyer, if you like to talk about law...but I seriously doubt it!
