About Me
Hey there!
My name is Ezgi. I moved to Germany 2 years ago. I am a nutritionist and i work in a hospital in Stuttgart. I live with my partner. I come from Turkish culture where hospitality is very important, so I love hosting guests and making people feel at home. I think I feed off of it. I know I'm on the right track when people are sad to leave my house and want to come back. The idea of sharing my home with people I don't know was difficult for me at first, but this way I get out of my comfort zone and this improves me. I love meeting new people and visiting new cultures. I think that such experiences always carry me forward, teach me new things and broaden my horizons. I am open to new things. Empathy and respect are important to me. I want to have a good time and share good memories without judging people and being judged. My English is not very good, but I am trying to improve it. but I don't think it's a barrier to dealing with people. I would like to support every traveler who likes to travel, who wants to travel the world and who passes through Stuttgart, and to show them Turkish culture and hospitality.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While living in Istanbul three years ago, I met a Colombian traveler and a very special person. Thanks to this platform, she stayed at our house and loved our culture so much that she decided to move to Istanbul. At that time, my partner was doing an internship in the USA and I suggested him to try this platform.
In this way, he always met nice people and collected wonderful memories.
Since we believe that there is a balance of giving and receiving in life, we wanted to start hosting other people. and we have been regularly accepting guests through my partner's account for a year. But I thought it was time to collect my own memories and open an individual account. This way, I can be more flexible when I travel without a partner and want to participate in Couchsurfing events.
