I recently finished my PhD in history at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. I love learning about different cultures and lifestyles through my travels. I am very interested in different cuisines and styles of music. In addition to travelling, I enjoy reading, writing, hiking, and playing the piano.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting locals in the places I travel so I can learn more about local culture, history, and politics from an individual perspective. I love using platforms including Couchsurfing and WWOOF when I travel because it is a much more interesting and educational experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

lived in South Africa for 6 months, worked on a goat farm, snorkeling in the Virgin Islands... I guess that's more than one :)
