ABOUT ME
My name is Fredrik Leonhard and I hail from the frozen northern country that is Sweden. I am currently studying Comparative Religion and History with the aim of becoming a High school Teacher in those subjects, while working as a medicinal massage therapist and substitute teacher to pay the bills.

Some hobbies then. Well, whenever I get the opportunity I work with films, be it in front of or behind the camera. Film making is one of my big passions in life, a passion that I hope I can allow to blossom more in the coming era than I have before. Oh, and I also enjoy the company of friends, be it in smaller gatherings at home or out in club. It's all good as long as you are in good company.

MY PHILOSOPHY
I am an ordained Zen priest within an independent Soto-Zen lineage, performing my duties as the meditation instructor at my local Temple. As such I've made it my mission to practice mindful compassion in all thoughts, words and actions. Sometimes I succeed, sometimes I fail. It's all part of the journey. But in any case, if you want to I would be happy to share and teach my mindfulness practice should my host or surfer be interested.

CouchSurfings response rate system is quite broken, I always reply within a few days. And yes, I work part time with massage, but that does not mean I will perform sexual acts at the demand of my hosts or surfers, paid or otherwise. Furthermore, if I am kind enough to offer a free massage at your request, do not take that as an invitation for sexual interactions. I ask you to please put aside your prejudice and respect my profession.

I have hosted many times and I have surfed many times. No bad experiences so far so I will probably keep doing both.

I'm interested in religion, history, philosophy, science, current events and entertainment. So if you wish to discuss any of these topics with me then feel free to do so. I am have a burning passion for film making and acting. Also, I am interested in whatever you are interested in as long as you can tell me about it with passion!

I devour whatever I get my hands on, from fiction to non-fiction, from action to drama. I am quite open to all genres and love experincing new ones, as long as they are done with a passion for the art.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I exist in a universe that can host my existence. If that is not amazing enough then I don't know what is.

Teach, Learn, Share

- Buddhist Zazen meditation as well as other forms of meditation techniques.

- Basic forms of Tai Chi and Qigong.

- I am currently studying to become a Certified medicinal massage therapist so if you want a free massage or perhaps wants to learn a few techniques then I can be of assistance.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm an open person, for good or bad, so I'll share whatever they are willing and able to receive. People have a tendancy to easily share things with me tho for some reason, even strangers on the train or at the park. Don't know why really.
