About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn about, experience, & make lasting connections with various cultures & communities that make up this beautiful world we live in. ^_^

ABOUT ME

Hallo, my name is Roz & I'm always hungry. Not just for food (although yes, hell yes) but also for new adventures, connections, dreams, & life in general.

I've always had the heart & spirit of a nomadic nerd.

Back when I was around 6, someone gave me this life-sized (for a 6-year old kid, at least) atlas. Every weekend, while all the others gathered around the TV to watch noontime shows, my mom and I would lock ourselves in our library and "traveled"€. We would place the book on the floor, choose a country, and jump barefoot on our chosen page. Sprawled across the book, we would read up on the country's cultures & traditions while mumbling basic phrases in their language.

As soon as we'd ~fly back to the Philippines~, I'd come rushing out of the library greeting everyone with a "Buon giorno!" or "Bom dia!" or however people in the country we ~went to~ says hello. I would then proceed to geek out and, for example, tell everyone how the Irish stew is almost the same as our calderata except theirs is an upgraded version because it'€™s made with lamb/mutton or how Indian women put red bindis on their foreheads to signify that they're married.

Those are some of my fondest memories.*w*

So here I am, 17 years later, a sunny island girl with a restless mind with matching wandering feet.:)

I believe that we are made up of the people we meet and the experiences we have with them. That's why I go out and travel. By getting lost in cities I don't know, & meeting strangers who later become friends, I discover new things about myself, the world, and life.

PHILOSOPHY

With a little imagination, anything is possible.
I was not born for one corner, the whole world is my native land.

Interests

Traveling to interesting places, meeting new friends, trying out new things, capturing moments in still or moving frames, listening to good music, watching enchanting films, spotting beauty in the mundane, dreaming & planning like I have forever, & living like I only have today.
