About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I graduated from college in '07. I want to now travel as much as possible. I'd like to have long visits where ever I go in attempt to learn about a place through becoming a small part of it.

ABOUT ME

I don't know what to write. My last profile was written by a friend in Texas so I don't know how good I am at this. ~I'm kind of like a young grandma in that I am overly protective of all my friends and family. I try to take care of everyone despite my inability to do so. I like to cook and garden and sew and sit quietly and read. I spent the last six years mostly in New York, then several months back in Austin and the 8 months in Europe. I think I am a blend of A Rememberance of Things Past and Peter Pan.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live my life kindly. I believe in being aware of the people around you and throughout the world and how we all effect each other.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book is A Remembrance of Things Past by Marcel Proust tied with Peter Pan, then The Old Man and the Sea-Hemmingway, then 100 Years of Solitude- Marquez. I'm just going to list for a second, sometimes it sounds nice to list anyway: Miles Davis, Panda Bear, Animal Collective, Cavedweller, Cause for Applause, Hello Lovers,THe Shangrila's, Os Mutantes, ... Elevator To the Gallows, Breathless, Bedazzled, Me, You, and Everyone We Know, Mary Poppins, An American in Paris, Stop Making Sense, The Last Waltz, Casablanca.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to a overgrown cemetery in the woods in Louisiana. I lived in a bookstore in Paris and then one in Santorini, Greece.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can juggle, cook, write, make stained glass, wood block print, use big saws, weld, draw, cast things in a variety of materials, carve wood, sew, and Just generally make things. I'd like to learn a lot of other making things skills.
