Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Responsible hedonism. More specifically, to balance my professional responsibilities with my desire to live a fulfilling life that explores the many wonderful things this world has to offer.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in 5 different countries, and learned to love traveling from a young age.
I finished medical school a few years ago and am doing my specialty training in emergency medicine, after which I plan to take trip around the world. If I have more than a few days off, I usually go explore a new city or country. Living in California I have the pleasure of camping and hiking in some incredible spots. I also played 5 years of college rugby. I love to eat (and cook). I'm very outgoing, and hate to waste a day.
PHILOSOPHY
Work hard, play harder. Never stop growing/learning/improving.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been part of the CS community since I studied abroad in Brazil for a semester. I lived in a small city that didn´t have much tourism, but now that I moved to LA I'm hoping to have more visitors.
I've been hosted a few times and had wonderful experiences with my hosts.
Interests
Here are the things I enjoy doing: traveling, learning new languages, eating and drinking, dancing, rugby (and sports in general), the beach, cooking, salsa dancing, hiking and camping.
Here are things I care about: Social justice, the environment, education, becoming a multi-planetary species, and helping bring healthcare to all.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read a lot, mostly fantasy, but also some science fiction and historical fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The W Trek in Patagonia. Seeing the sunset on the cliffs of southern Portugal. The Full Moon Party in Thailand. Camping in Death Valley National Park.
Teach, Learn, Share
I read a lot, so I can have a discussion on many subjects, but I'm particularly keen to share my passion for science/health, and am happy to talk about it. I can also teach you a little bit of Spanish or Portuguese, how to dance basic salsa, or how to make a caipirinha.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A different perspective. Also, I'm specializing in emergency medicine, so, if the zombie apocalypse strikes, I'm pretty handy to have around.
